Coronavirus in Poland: travel advice (1.06.2020)
Current government hygiene and safety regulations in Poland:
Mask: Must be worn in public transport, stores, cinemas and theatres, churches, offices (you don’t have to cover your nose and mouth at work and in bars/restaurants while sitting)
Hand cleaning: Visitors are asked to use hand sanitizers before entering a shop, shopping mall and all other facilities.
Social distancing: 2 meters distance in public space (people living together, parents with children, people with disabilities and people who cover nose and mouth are excluded).
Public transport: on the bus, tram or subway, only half of the capacity can be used.
Social life in Poland:
Payment: Digital / touchless payments are preferred in shops and other facilities.
The shopping malls are open without the limits of customers.
Restaurants and bars: Free access (no quotas) to restaurants, cafes and bars. Keeping 2 meters distance remains mandatory.
Services: All hairdressing salons are open. Saunas, solariums, massage and tattoo parlors are able to resume their activities under certains sanitary conditions (from June 6th).
Culture: cinemas, theatres, operas, ballet, swimming pools, theme parks, gyms, fitness clubs are able to resume their activities under certains sanitary conditions (from June 6)
Meetings and events: fairs, exhibitions, congresses, weddings up to 150 people are allowed (from June 6). Outdoor concerts can be organized, however participants must cover their mouth and nose and maintain 2-meter social distance.
Traveling in time of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Poland:
Polish borders: crossing Polish borders by foreigners is generally prohibited.
Flights: all international passenger flights remain grounded.
International railway traffic: international trains are suspended.
Hotels: hotel and accommodation services may be provided if specific hygiene rules are observed.
Tours: Guided tours are allowed.
Museums: museums and libraries are open with the new hygiene restrictions (limited capacity).
