Getting from Wroclaw Airport to the city center
By public transport
Every 15 minutes there is a bus connection to the city center (bus line 106). You can purchase a ticket at the machine at the bus stop (paying by card or cash) or on the bus (by card only). All machines operate in four languages: Polish, English, German, Ukrainian.
The ride costs 3.4 PLN (0.8€), duration: about 40 minutes (over 60 minutes during rush hour). It’s the cheapest way of going downtown. At night, bus 206 services this route. The ticket costs 3.6 PLN (0.85€).
WRO AIRPORT EXPRESS operates on the route: Airport – City Center (Plac Dominikański) – Dworzec Wrocław (Bus Terminal and Central Station). A ticket costs 10 PLN (2.4 €, payable directly to the driver in cash or by card).
By taxi
Ask for the price before entering the taxi. Unfortunately, it might sometimes happen that taxi drivers try to overcharge you. According to the airport website, the ride to the city center or the Main Railway Station shouldn’t cost more than 60 PLN (15€).
Prices may vary slightly depending on traffic difficulties (jams, detours, etc.). Night rates are more expensive. The cheapest companies which operate in Wroclaw are: Ryba Taxi (0048 516 007 700) and Wicar Taxi (0048 725 71 71 71). A ride with them should cost around 30-40 PLN (8-10€).
You can request a taxi with them via dedicated mobile apps as well. UBER is also an option to get to the city center.
By car
The airport is located in the South-West of the city. The airport is easily accessible for passengers driving from Germany, Czech Republic, and Poland. Highway A8 runs next to the terminal.
There is a car park space for 2,000 cars. Price: 24h -24 PLN (6€), 5-9 days – 59 PLN (15€).
Car rental
There are nine car rental companies operating at the airport. The desks are in the Arrivals hall.
