If you are interested in history, this is a must-see. In the former Royal Palace of the Prussian Kings there is a permanent exhibition titled ‘1000 years of Wroclaw.’
Within one hour you can discover how Wroclaw expanded from a small settlement on the Odra river bank to the 4th largest city in Poland. It is a story of four nations and five cultures. And it’s all for free!
The Four Dome Pavilion: Museum of Contemporary Art
When Hans Poelzig designed The Four Dome Pavilion for the exhibition in 1913 he couldn’t have known that this temporary structure built within 7 months will remain standing for over 100 years and that it would be an inspiration for the next generations of architects.
Since 2016 the building houses The Museum of Contemporary Art with a huge collection of art by Magdalena Abakanowicz, Zbigniew Beksinski, Tadeusz Kantor, among others. You should enter this building to experience an amazing architecture and contemporary Polish art. The courtyard of the museum is a perfect spot for a cup of coffee!

The museum of the most important book in the Polish literature opened in May 2016. If you want to learn about Polish culture, traditions, habits, hunting, and religion short after the partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at the beginning of the 19th century, just visit the Golden Sun House on The Market Square.
‘Pan Tadeusz’ is a must-read book for Polish high school students. Ask your Polish friends if they are still able to perform “Inwokacja”, the first part of this book. Interactive exhibition in 3 languages: Polish, English, and German.

The Old Jewish Cemetery: The Museum of Cemetery Art
Twelve thousand tombstones, various architectural styles, as well as numerous climbing plants, which cover the matzevahs create an enchanting atmosphere.
At the Jewish Cemetery you can track the history of the Jewish community during its Golden Age in Breslau. Definitely a must-see in Wroclaw!

MWW: Wroclaw Contemporary Museum
The museum is located in the former air-raid shelter. Today it is used as a place for contemporary art. Close to the building there is a famous sculpture of a vertical locomotive called ‘Train to heaven’.
